Elementary School

Grades K-4

As the elementary years build off of early childhood, our programs are carefully mapped and aligned.

The early childhood years are geared toward getting children comfortable in the classroom, growing confident in themselves and their abilities, and building new relationships with teachers and friends.

The Elementary Experience

The elementary years help ignite students’ love of learning and confidence in their ability to succeed. With caring encouragement, students develop as young authors, mathematicians, readers, and illustrators. We ensure small class sizes and assign two teachers per classroom to ensure individualized attention and support. Across all grades, the average class size is 19 students which results in a 10:1 student to teacher ratio.

Our Approach

Elementary students wear uniforms and attend weekly mass as a school community. Specials classes including art, drama, library, music, PE, technology, and Spanish take place each week and lunch is eaten in the cafeteria. Each student also has access to their own device for instructional purposes.

Third and fourth grades switch classes for English/Language Arts (ELA), Math, Social Studies, and Science. By leaving their homeroom, they get to experience another teacher and are slowly prepared for what they will encounter in middle school. Kindergarten through second grade classes are self-contained.

As the need for individual support arises, or that of an opportunity for challenge, teachers work with our Student Support Team of learning specialists and counselors. We take a community approach to ensure all resources are available and accessible to our students.
